Mrs. Aura Garcia

My name is Aura Garcia and I work as a Family Engagement Specialist at SHP since August 2021. I have been with FWISD since 2014, starting at Rosemont Elementary School where I learned a lot. I have four children, two boys and two girls: Irving, Zeidy, Christian and Aimee. They are my pride and joy and the reason I wake up every day. I also have a pet schnauzer named Zoey who is six years old and very cute. We live with my father, who has always supported me, and my mother, who lives in Mexico. In my spare time, I practice cosmetology or esthetics, which I have enjoyed since 2000. I also like to dance and sometimes I help quinceañeras with their choreography or paint faces for children's parties. I love seeing children happy with their favorite characters on their faces. Working for SHP has been wonderful and challenging. I work hard to overcome the challenges and help improve the school and the students. I feel great satisfaction when I help families in need. Each student in this school is like part of my family and I feel proud of their achievements. SHP is my second home and I am honored to work under Mrs. Brewer's leadership.
